  • From 1996 to 1998, served as Sub-Advisory Co-Portfolio Manager of Van Eck VIP Emerging Markets Fund at Peregrine Asset Management  
  • From 1993 to 1998, a Regional Strategist at Peregrine Brokerage
  • Prior to 1993, Head of Emerging Markets at Murray Johnstone, a United Kingdom investment management company; also an investment manager specializing in Asian equity markets

Angus Schillington

  • Joined Van Eck in 2009
  • Serves as Deputy Portfolio Manager for Van Eck's emerging markets equity strategies
  • Prior to joining Van Eck, served as Head of International Equity for ABN AMRO, responsible for restructuring Asian and European equity cash and derivative distribution to North American institutions
  • Earlier career experience includes several senior roles in research sales, trading, sales trading and portfolio management with a focus on the Asian and European markets for BNP Paribas, UBS Securities and Hill Samuel/BLW in offices based in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Edinburgh
  • Holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 11, 24 and 63 licenses

  • Joined Van Eck in 2014
  • Serves as Senior Analyst for Van Eck's emerging markets equity strategies, focusing on the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia regions
  • Prior to joining Van Eck, served as Senior Analyst at Mirae Asset Global Investments (Mirae) focusing on company specific research in EMEA used across Mirae’s long-only strategies globally. In addition, served as Portfolio Manager on a country and two regional strategies (Russia, Eastern Europe and EMEA)
  • From 2008 to 2010, Research Associate at Wellington Management Co. Assisted in managing long-only emerging markets equity products focusing on retail, media, and food and beverage sectors in EMEA and Latin America
  • Fluent in Russian; proficient in Spanish

  • Currently serves as Analyst for Van Eck's emerging markets strategies, with specialized focus on the Latin America and Emerging Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions
  • Prior to joining Van Eck, worked at Newgate Capital Management as a Financial Analyst specializing in Latin America and EMEA financial sectors; from 2004 to 2007 was a Financial Controller at Anystream Media Inc. (formerly Cauldron Solutions) and was actively involved in the mergers of Cauldron Solutions with Anystream Inc.; from 2002 to 2003 was employed by Scotia Bank as an Associate of Corporate Finance and from 1996 to 1998, worked as a Financial Analyst for Grupo BBV in Venezuela
