Methodology highlights

  • Quarterly rebalancing
  • Stocks chosen from a Liquid Universe determined by trading volumes and market capitalization
  • Starting universe is the EMIX Global Mining Index (EGMI). Rebalancing of EGMI occurs as follows:

    1. Existing EGMI stocks ranked by market capitalization, market capitalization representing the 99.75th percentile is obtained
    2. The market value found in step 1 is rounded to nearest USD50MM (the Threshold Value)
    3. Companies with market caps at least 20% higher than the Threshold Value that are not already EGMI constituents are added to the index
    4. Companies with market caps less than 20% lower than the Threshold Value that are EGMI constituents are removed from the index
    5. Companies no longer eligible for EGMI are removed from the index

  • Following the rebalancing of the EGMI Index, the Methodology for EMIX Constrained Weights Indices is then applied. In short, the constraining process follows a trial-and-error process to ensure the following two entity weight conditions are met:
    • no more than 9% weight in any one entity
    • there is no more than 4.5% weight in any one entity unless the sum of such entities does not exceed a 36% weight

Performance data for the Irish domiciled funds is displayed on a Net Asset Value basis, in Base Currency terms, with net income reinvested, net of fees. Brokerage or transaction fees will apply. Performance data for the Dutch domiciled ETFs include income distributions gross of Dutch withholding tax, net of fees and assume that the Dutch dividend withholding tax levied from the dividend payment of the ETF will be deducted or reclaimed with the Dutch tax authority and is reinvested. Different investor types and investors from other jurisdictions may not be able to achieve the same level of performance due to their tax status and local tax rules. Brokerage or transaction fees will apply. The Dutch domiciled ETFs use a gross reinvestment index. Please note that the performance includes income distributions gross of Dutch withholding tax because Dutch investors deduct or reclaim the 15% Dutch withholding tax levied. Different investor types and investors from other jurisdictions may not be able to achieve the same level of performance due to their tax status and local tax rules.
