All fields required where indicated (*)In this episode, I speak with Laurie Wayburn, an accomplished forest and conservation innovator about her work sustaining America's forests while simultaneously creating economic benefit for landowners and communities.
Seeing the Forest for the Trees
Laurie is co-founder and President of Pacific Forest Trust (PCF) an accredited non-profit conservation land trust and policy think-tank that advances forest conservation and stewardship solutions. Drawing on her deep experience and work in environmental conservation, Laurie has been a pioneer in the space and has demonstrated that sustainable management can be united with market-based approaches.
The PCF manages the Van Eck Forest Project which is comprised of over 9,000 acres of forest in California and Oregon. Laurie and I chat about how these "living forest laboratories" have been a model of how sustainability and economic returns can co-exist.
Trend or Fad
Listen for Laurie’s take on connected home fitness, electric vehicles, regenerative agriculture, plant-based meat substitutes.
