Who We Are
Like the Islanders seizing their moment in 1972 to bring NHL hockey to Long Island as the league was expanding, VanEck was founded in 1955 to bring access to international markets to U.S. investors as the global economy was being redefined after WWII.
Just as the Islanders quickly claimed dynasty status with four consecutive Stanley Cup wins from 1980-1983, we made our mark early with the launch of the first U.S. gold fund in 1968, just before the collapse of the gold standard sent the price of gold surging. We carry that same forward-looking mindset today.
